Summer Forum is Lincoln Center Education’s flagship professional development program for arts education. Each July, artists, teachers, and administrators meet in the cultural heart of New York City for hands-on workshops led by renowned Teaching Artists, keynote presentations by leaders in the field, inspiring performances, and rich discussions with colleagues from around the world.
In 2018 alone, Summer Forum participants came from all 5 NYC boroughs, 16 US states and 10 countries spanning 5 continents. They included dancers, musicians, actors, visual artists, classroom and specialized teachers, curriculum developers, principals, arts administrators and more. What they all share is a belief that the arts should be integral to every child’s education and a commitment to making it so.
